McDreamy

So I had my first disturbing birth dream last night. From what I hear and what I have read, this was the first of many to come in the next couple of months.

First of all, I went into labor 11 weeks early, which would be tomorrow if it really happened. When we got to the hospital, there was some kind of complication that was going to prevent me from giving birth. So heroic Ryan steps in, somehow manages to take on the pregnancy and effectively pushes Hanky out. I am very thankful the dream was oriface free, haha. All I know is I felt wonderful and full of energy after the birth!

Hanky's eyes were very, very round, almost cartoon like. You know how most eyes are almond shaped? Not our boy, he looked like there was something wrong with him. Hey, at least he didn't have an arm growing out of his head! Ryan and I decided to go with the name I like (we have two picked). When we told family, their reactions were that of surprise and faked approval. In reality, that could happen I suppose, but we are going to name him one or the other and not everyone has to like our choice.

Next, my father in law, Steve, had little Hanky all swaddled in his arms and for some reason needed to put him down. He chose the top of the refrigerator. Hanky promptly rolled off and landed on the hard kitchen floor. He didn't cry but he looked at me like his feelers were all hurt that he hit the floor.

And lastly, because thank God my phone rang and woke me up, Ryan put Hanky in his carseat and just sat the carseat on the floorboard of the car instead of strapping it into the seat. Who knows what else would have happened had my phone not rung. I am hoping tonight brings a more pleasant dream!!!
